Job Description

The Analyst - The overall objective of a Financial Modelling Expert/Analyst position is to build, refine, and maintain sophisticated financial models that deliver accurate forecasts, scenario analyses, and strategic insights to drive informed business decisions, investment evaluations, and risk management

Financial Modelling will support evaluation and structuring of road/highway infrastructure projects under various frameworks such as BOT (Toll/Annuity), HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model), and InvIT structures. The role involves developing complex financial models, assessing project viability and supporting investment decisions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION

·       Develop and maintain advanced financial models using Excel (including AI/ VBA, macros, charts) to simulate scenarios, forecast revenues/expenses, and perform DCF or other valuations

·       Build detailed models covering traffic assumptions and toll-based revenue projections, construction cost and phasing, O&M Costs and lifecycle expenses, debt structuring, repayment schedules and interest modelling.

·       Assist in determining optimal bid parameters (premium, bid project cost)

·       Conduct variance, sensitivity, and scenario analyses to assess risks, opportunities, and impacts on financial outcomes

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., BD, finance, legal) to integrate data into models and present simplified findings to stakeholders

·       Update models with actuals, reforecasts, and market data; prepare reports and presentations for senior management

·       Understanding of concession agreements and regulatory frameworks.

·       Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel. Knowledge of Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy) or R and data visualising tools would be considered advantageous.

Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • MBA (Finance) / CA / CMA
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial modeling in roads/highway sector or in infrastructure finance
  • Candidates, having experience in preparation of financial modelling of at least 10 projects in a single financial model, will be preferred.
