OVERALL PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION

To coordinate and monitor routine highway maintenance activities, ensuring timely execution of maintenance works, compliance with safety and quality standards, effective contractor coordination, asset upkeep, and seamless communication among stakeholders for uninterrupted highway operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION

  • Coordinate day-to-day highway maintenance activities across multiple projects and SPVs.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of works as per the Concession Agreement.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and Head Office for smooth execution of maintenance activities.
  • Track maintenance defects and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Assist in inspections of pavements, structures, drainage systems, road furniture, and road safety assets.
  • Maintain maintenance records, MIS reports, Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), inspection reports, and compliance documents using SharePoint.
  • Prepare detailed presentations, performance summaries, and MIS data for board meetings and senior management reviews
  • Support incident management and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor the availability of manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with NHAI, MoRTH, IRC, and Concession Agreement requirements.
  • Assist in budget monitoring, bill verification, vendor performance evaluation, and benchmarking of vendor quotations.
  • Closure of maintenance defects within target timelines.
  • Highway asset condition ratings.
  • Timely reporting (Plan vs. Achieved) and documentation.
  • Contract compliance and audit performance.
  • Road safety and incident response effectiveness.
  • Highway maintenance coordination.
  • Knowledge of MoRTH, IRC, and NHAI standards.
  • MIS reporting, advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 6–10 years of experience in highway maintenance, road infrastructure, or O&M projects.
  • Experience in NHAI/BOT/HAM/EPC projects preferred.
